'Material Girl Model'

Material Girl Model

designed by Sam Ball

Sam

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create, G2P & Stamp

This photo is of Caitlin, modeling her elder sisters' multi-media project, which was to create a fairy tale dress. They went off on their photo shoot and came back with some stunning images.

I used the border stamp to create the scalloped edge and inked the chipboard tailors dummy's to tonally work with the layout, adding a bit of floss to look like little scarves.

I also inked the alpha, as it's a fabric one it's so easy to re-colour to co-ordinate with your layout.

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create & Hybrids

I tend to scrap people & forget to scrap things so when I saw
the colour of the Material Girl snip snip paper was the same colour as my new coat, I just had to scrap it.

I inked the maya road chipboard shapes with 2 shades of orange to give them more dimension and to team them with the hybrids used.

Shoe Love

designed by Eileen Webdale

Eileen

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create, G2P & Hybrids

From an early age Hannah had a love of shoes. If this photo is anything to go by it would seem that she was as happy eating them as wear them and of course wearing grown up shoes was the best.

The Jenni Bowlin buttons, Prima Blossom and 'Say it in Pearls' compliment the Scribble Scrabble Nana’s Trunk No.352 patterned paper.

How super cute are these mini canvases?!? I printed a mini pic off and cut a border with a stamp edge decorative scissors. I mixed it up with some patterned papers and some goodness from the kits, including a lush jenni bowlin pin!

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create, G2P and Hybrids

Why 'Tailor Made' ????, well ...the giant letters spelling California outside the theme park of the same name in Disneyland CA. were a perfect photo opportunity for a shot with the letter of your initial.

I was lucky enough that there was every letter of my name so I got the whole deal !!!

Spot the Jenni Bowlin packaging , it was so cute and vintagey that I couldn't resist popping it on my LO

Reel Love

Reel Love

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create, G2P, Stamp and Hybrids

I couldn't wait to ink up this month's stamp and get stamping, I adore the little cotton reel and created a border of the reels, and then using the floss in the G2P's I sewed a few lines on the body of the reels to make it appear that they were full.

I love this photo of Mia taken last year, you will notice she is missing her front teeth, sometimes this time doesn't last long so you need to capture the moment then and there!!

Harry

Harry

designed by Lorraine Ablett

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create, G2P and Hybrids

April Kit is perfect for baby photos, so much so that I have really got stuck in to emptying my old baby album for Harry and finalling making some LOs! This picture of Harry was in his first week of being born and I still remember this little green striped suit as if it were yesterday.

The Hybrids this month really have helped my Kit go far, infact all but two of the strips that feature within this design are from the Hybrid download. The three buttons from the Hybrids were a great base for three little pins - don't these just remind

The Blanket

The Blanket

designed by Claire Salisbury

Claire

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create & Hybrids

Last year I started to learn to knit & one of my ongoing projects is to knit a blanket to snuggle under, however so far, I've only done 4 squares, so I have quite a way to go yet.

I created a pocket for some journaling behind the photo, and used the advertising strips from the Cosmo Cricket papers for embellishments.

'I Love Sewing'

'I Love Sewing"

designed by Sam Ball

Sam

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create, G2P and Bespoke Design Cards

Although this photo is nothing to do with sewing, I really like it of me and so decided to use it as a base to scrap my love of dressmaking.

The design card says it all "sew much fabric, sew little time" and I think we can all share that sentiment! Since discovering scrapbooking, my sewing time has been neglected.

I used acrylic paint to colour the chipboard pieces, as I wanted a denser colour than ink would give me and arranged them to form a border of

A little bit of fun here, I cut up one of the Bespoke design cards, stamped one of the cotton reels (April Stamp) and added a few little embellishments to this canvas. For a really bumpy page you could add this to a layout

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create and G2P.

There's so much in this kit to get inspired by, for instance, I've had these photos for years but never had the right combo of stash to go with them, enter 'Fabrication'!

The retro ladies matched the Bloomingdales exterior perfectly, with the whole fifties kinda feel. The little Maya Road chipboard pieces were also great for adding little features the the images, inked in green, one is hung from a coat ..... Read More

Sweet As An Angel

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create, G2P, and Bespoke Design Cards.

The "Donna Salazar Artistic Paper, Lacey Goodness" inspired me to create a very vintagey feel layout. On the bottom strip there are allsorts of ideas of things you could do with the paper, with paints or mists etc, but most were way too messy for me to consider!
So I just lightly inked the lacy printed areas, and just used it as a lovely textured base for the rest of the LO.
I couldn't resist adding lots of stitching, and the threaded ribbon around the circular paper too.

And as for those Jenni Bowlin stickpins- I LOVE them!

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create, G2P, Stamps, Hybrids, Bespoke Cards

The Cosmo Cricket material girl- in stitches paper reminded me of this photo of my Gran wearing a blouse she had embroidered herself. I have printed the photo on canvas paper as it was poor quality and felt this gives it a better look.
I got carried away with embellishments which is so easy to do with this fabulous kit, but I'm happy with the finished result

Made Using 'Fabrication' April Kit Create & Go 2 Pieces

I wanted to combine all the soft neutrals from the kit for this LO as the photo's of Lucinda's first sewing machine lesson were quite dark as they were taken indoors one rainy Sunday afternoon.

A little distress ink on the Donna Salazar paper tones it perfectly to combine with the Hambly Couture and gave me just the look I was after.

The hybrid buttons are crying out to have that beautiful ribbon tied in the centre of them, a crop a dile punch out the circles just right. For an different approach to adding journaling I added my words around the edge of the patterned paper.

This photo shows Mia's obsession with all things creepy crawly. Mia even has a little countryside encyclopedia in which she checks off any little bugs she finds.

Day One

Made using 'Fabrication' April Kit - Create/G2P

These are my three most favourite photos from the first moment that Zoe and Kirsty met Harry, Simon had been with me all night but went home for a quick nap and then straight back to see us both with the girls - I love their smiling faces!

This Bazzill cardstock is my most favourite shade of blue at the moment, it doesn't really remind me of rain but that is what it is called!  However it was the perfect colour as a backdrop to my design as I wanted to feature blue, pink and yellow which ..... Read More
