August Guest Designer

We are delighted to introduce our Guest Designer for August - Sam Ball...

Sam

'I'm 35 years old, married to Harvey (a photographer) and a step-mum to three beautiful girls.   Harvey and I have been living in a hamlet in sunny Shropshire for the past two and a half years, along with Cuthbert and Dibble, our two cats! We are renovating a farmhouse, which will one day be
finished (in our lifetime is debateable!) I work full time in the marketing dept.of a bathroom furniture manufacturer, with my main focus on the creative side of marketing, such as styling room sets for photography, brochure design and exhibitions and from time to time work with Harvey photographing these room sets - that gets interesting!

Since graduating in Textiles, I have tried and tested many crafty type hobbies, from knitting to stained glass, but nothing compares to the enjoyment and addiction that I have when scrapbooking. I have been scrapbooking for

News From Chicago...

WOW, finally we have managed to upload!

The internet connection here in the hotel is not very speedy to say the least!  What with a slow connection and the fact that it keeps dropping out we haven't been able to share the many delights we have found at CHA.

We have sourced October, November and December supplies as well as having a fair idea of the ranges for January and February! We have gorgeous goodies coming your way and have secured some great discounts so we have been able to pack even more into each kit:D

Later tonight we are going to try and upload some images from around CHA but for now we would like to share a picture we all had taken with Jenni Bowlin on her beautiful booth.

Karen Moss's Product Review - Fancy Pants Doodle Transparency

Welcome to our second edition of a Design Team members Product Review.

This month we showcase the highly delectable Fancy Pants Doodle Tranparency that features in August Create Kit 'There's No Place Like Home'.

Karen loves all the new overlays and transparencies that we have been including in recent kits but none more so than this delicious, bright and funky little number from Fancy Pants.

Fancy Pants

Karen adores the little groups of bright flowers and especially loves the heart shaped one!

Karen's tips:

If you have a fine permanent marker you could extend the doodling from the transparency onto your layout to incorporate the pattern more into your design, or if you have a set of coloured permanent markers or a fine gold permanent marker you can colour in the stars to ..... Read More

More Greetings to Share

Designs are coming in thick and fast from our talented designers using Happy Days GoGo Greetings Kit.

Today we would like to share Nicola's gorgeous creation.

Nicola

Nicola has cut away part of the front of the card blank using the plastic heart template that is included in Happy Days Greetings kit. Adding patterned paper heart cut outs behind each 'window' makes this card really special.

Check back tomorrow when we will be highlighting the July Mini Kit and July Project Kit.

Celebrate Happy Days!

Today we would like to share a card made by Sally using the July GoGo Greetings Kit.

All our kits are designed to compliment each other, so if you are lucky enough to have grabbed a Happy Days Create as well as a Happy Days Greetings then you will simply love to intermix your supplies.

Sally has used some of the supplies from the Greetings kit to create this stunning card.

Celebrate

'I love the huge amount of die cuts in this kit and adapted this one slightly by following the pattern with my embossing stylus which makes the edges lift making it slightly 3D.

The colours all co-ordinate perfectly and the Crate paper is fantastic to sand which gives the edges ..... Read More

Something a Bit Different...

Do you ever feel like jazzing up a 12x12 layout, then why not have a play around with different shaped edges.

Bazzill edged cardstock has been a around for a little while now and it looks great, although of course there are onlyl a handful of shapes available so there comes a time when enough is enough:lol:

The answer to this is to GoGo Create your own:)

Yellow Ducks

'When Matthew was younger bath time was all about the ducks, he adored them. He'd clutch hold of as many as his little hands would hold if it looked like 'big brother' was gonna try and have a couple for himself.'

Eileen

Eileen has used the Bazzill Smootie Ocean Breeze and dry brushed with white paint, this create a lovely effect ..... Read More

Some More Peeks...

July is well and truly under way, although the weather isn't so great here at GoGo HQ today:(

The dark, cloudy sky hasn't got us down though as the colours of Happy Days are bouncing around the warehouse as the July Kits are being assembled ready for Despatch.

Ali has been busy creating Happy Days and we just love how she has used the Chatterbox paper as a speech bubble of her son's random thoughts. We just adore the journalling that Ali has added to her layout!

Random Thoughts

'You have reached the stage where your mind has become likea grasshopper, you jump from thought to thought so quickly - any conversation with you is totally random!'

Ali

Notice how cool the Making Memories Tiny Alpha look around the side of the photo, and we loads of letters you have plenty ..... Read More

GoGo Greetings Kits....

contain exclusive stamps within every kit!

Each Greetings Kit is designed to be able to use as a stand alone kit or along with GoGo Create to produce even more layouts, projects and cards each month.

July GoGo Greetings 'Happy Days' Kit comes along with a stamp that compliments not only the Greetings Kit but works well with the Create Stamp - just think of all the combinations that you could design!

Greetings

Monica has designed this stunning Get Well card using the stamp as flower heads, she has created the grass effect from patterned paper and scissors.

The butterfly die cut is a great little edition to a card that is sure to lift the sprites of some one that is feeling under the weather.

Go Grab Your Stamps!

It has been well over two years now since we have been offering our exclusive stamps alongside the main kits themselves.

The Design Team have simply loved using the July Set, and at just £4.50 you simply have to have them....

July

Ifa has stamped a border using the stamps that runs down the side of her layout, a unique approach that looks fab! The use of watercolours to add colour really does add a subtle, almost white washed look to the end result.

Nothing Sweeter

'You are greeted with the most wonderful scent when you visit Andalucian cities in the Spring.  What is more appropriate than some cheerful stamped flowers to echo that.'
